Nested in the beautiful Loess Hills and only a 25 minute drive from Omaha, Devney Acres is a veteran-owned small farm, operated by the Devney Family: Brennen, Lia, son Aiden, and daughter Blakely. Although we were both born and raised in the area, we did not have experience growing produce or raising livestock. After finishing a Navy tour in bustling Washington D.C. in 2020 and returning to our home area to live a simple life in Beebeetown, Iowa, we had to rapidly learn how to farm through firsthand experience. From 2020 to 2024, we built up fencing, acquired animals, and completed numerous landscaping projects on the property.

Thus, Devney Acres was born.

Today, we grow apples, cherries, peaches, and make wine using grapes from our vineyard. We also raise horses, sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, guinea fowl, rabbits and a highland cow, resulting in large amounts of eggs and free lawn mowers. What started as a hobby, stemming from a love for animals and creating homemade goods from fresh produce, quickly grew into a business.

We offer visits to our farm to interact with our animals and learn about our farming activities. For purchase, we offer eggs, fruit, and small gifts, along with products made from the wool of our sheep.

Our goal is to offer affordable, family-friendly experiences that allow visitors to see farm life up close. We would like to bring awareness to the country living and farming lifestyle that people raised in urban environments may not have experienced.
