“The Hen House”

Used as bridal suite during wedding events.

Smaller event venue with a capacity of up to 25 people available for birthday parties and smaller gatherings. Includes environmentally controlled party room and outdoor patio area with turf and picnic tables.

FAQs

  • You can reserve your desired date by submitting a 50% deposit. Our availability calendar is posted on this page.

  • Our goal is to allow you to run your dream wedding the way you imagine. You are welcome to use any licensed and insured caterer. Devney Acres does not offer catering.

  • The standard rental fee includes access to the venue from 11:00 a.m. - Midnight and 12:00 a.m. - 1:00 a.m. for light cleanup. We offer options to add additional time if desired.

    • Venue access from 11:00 a.m. - Midnight

    • Wedding day coordinator and parking attendant

    • Parking for up to 100 vehicles

    • Indoor climate-controlled venue with 175 person capacity

    • Outdoor ceremony space with seating for 150 people

    • Large covered patio and deck overlooking pond

    • Catering kitchen

    • Handicap-accessible restrooms

    • Bridal suite in separate building

    • 98” presentation screen

    • 55 butcher block tables and 10 bourbon barrels

    • Cleanup of venue (guests remove decor/trash only)

    • Use of property for photos

  • Due to requirements with holding an Iowa Liquor License, outside alcohol is not allowed. We offer alcohol packages that can be tailored to your needs.

  • Yes, we can accommodate parking for up to 100 vehicles and will have a parking attendent present for every event that has over 100 people and/or serves alcohol. Vehicles may be parked overnight, but must be retrieved by 12:00 p.m. the following day.

  • We are working on constructing lodging on site with the hopes of being completed by 2028. In the meantime, we offer camping with electrical hookups and firepits.
